Send Video Messages with Google Chat

Move-over voice notes, video messages have arrived in Google Chat.

Lauren decided to test this out yesterday rather than her usual voice notes (which now have transcripts!).

Step 1 - In the Google Chat compose box click the record icon to the right.

Step 2 - Select 'Video message'.

Step 3 - A record screen will pop up. Hello! To alter the settings before recording your message, click the three dots to the right of the red record button.

Step 4 - You can choose not to mirror and select the mic and camera you would like to use in the settings wheel menu.

Step 5 - Click the red button to record, you can preview it before you send it. If it is ready to go click 'Send'.
