Searching a Chat or Channel in Microsoft Teams

In your Microsoft Teams Chats or Channels, you have the 'Chat details' tab. Within the 'Chat details' tab, you can view shared documents and search that specific chat or channel.

Step 1 - Click the 'Open chat details' button in the top right.

Step 2 - This will open a pane showing the documents shared in that chat or channel. At the top, you can use the search box to find specific messages.

Step 3 - Enter keywords to narrow down the search.

You can click on the message to open it.

Step 4 - Within a Channel, the pane will look slightly different, you will see who is in the Channel and under the options area you can search the channel.
