How to use 'Take notes for me' with Gemini in Google Meet
In Google Meet you can ask Gemini to take notes for you throughout your Google Meet. In the top right of your Google Meet, you will see it taking notes and will show you a summary of the meeting so far - great if you joined late.
Gemini will take notes and create a Google Doc in the creator's Google Drive. The notes will also be shared via the calendar invite with guests in your organisation.

Step 1 - In Google Meet click the sparkly pencil icon in the top right.
Step 2 - Decide if you would like the meeting transcribed and recorded, if so select these boxes.
Step 3 - Click 'Start taking notes'.

Step 4 - You will see Gemini taking notes and after a few minutes it will summarise the meeting.

Step 5 - You might not want to take notes for the whole meeting, so you can click 'Stop taking notes', which we probably should have done before we started comparing Google Meet & Microsoft Copilot 😂.
